Work sucked. For real.

When I say "work sucked" I mean that I ended up saying eff you to my boss, only of course I didn't say "eff", I used the word. (A quirk of mine that I don't write that word on the internet. I have no idea why.) First, he took away the bird room he let me have last year and made it into Gabby's file room (a place to put boxes of files.) Then he's been needling me about "these birds are such a pain, they're always in the way." Yes, dick! It was much nicer when they had a room to be in and you were off my ass! So I decided to just let this one go, and maybe I could put the cages on shelves in the basement. This morning when he came in I said, "Hey, can I ask you a quick question?" He said, "No," and tried to slam the door in my face. Which, by the way, he does almost on a daily basis (not to anyone else, just to me and to Casse,) but I was so fed up and sick of that and of him and of being treated like a second class citizen because I don't have loads of money and am not trendy and hot and metro, that I just said eff you, and started to walk away. The door hadn't closed all the way (he tried to slam it but that door never slams,) and he came back in the room all flustered saying that I could ask him the question.

Everyone who was in the room was pretty shocked and Jenn J. later told me that Rob was pretty shocked himself. I don't see why they were all so surprised, though. It's been on the tip of my tongue practically all year.

Maybe that's what your boss needed to hear to get some perspective. Maybe you should say it every day and see what happens. ;)

Believe me, I want to say it every day lately. I wish it did give him perspective, but instead he just goes around convincing himself that a certain class of woman is unreasonable and can't control her hormones and he need not really hear them. >_>

Your "Boss" needs a good reminder that treating people like shit usually leads to such things.

Ya know, like a roundhouse kick to the head.

I can't tell you how often I've pictured doing just that. Yeah, he lives in his own metro world and he doesn't like it sullied by us second class people. >_>
