More fun from ~Winter Rose!!111~

Superfun! Since Rose has responded to my allegations about her in a vague way, and her dithering, silly husband has outright said that I made this stuff up about her, I thought I should, you know QFT where applicable.

Let's see, what did I say in that last post? That Rose made a mockery of Native Americans by claiming to be descended from a Cherokee Princess. Hey, what's this? And yep, I posted about it on the NDN comm. Lots of laughs there.

That Rose said she thought it would be "romantic" to get tuberculosis.
Why, look! And in case she deletes it, this was her response to the question "Top five diseases you would most like to contract (given that you could get better)":
2. Consumption {So Romantic!}
The actual reply is right here.

That she always goes on about her hair color, first saying that it's natural and then later saying that she uses Clairol, which is tested on animals, and that I called her on it once? Sadly, she has deleted that stuff. You know, people saying things in her LJ that aren't along the lines of "OMG you are so FAE!!!!1111" never goes over well.

That she's greedy, grasping, vain, stupid and all the rest, well, those are just opinions. As some very smart person posted in GAFF, "Rose, Rose, this isn't sweet and it's synergy -- this is trying to get a free ride. Sorry. It's nice that you has people who are generous enough to give you money, but you are not entitled to a free honeymoon more than anyone else.

Aren't true princesses supposed to have...dignity?

I do wonder if she realizes that for every sugar-free double shot vanilla strawberry caramel fudge iced tea mocha frappuccino she cuts out of her budget, that at least four less people would have to give her money."

As for the real issue: Do the charity meme. Donate!

ETA: I want to thank all of you who responded, in email, comments, or fora, for your support and agreement. But more than that, thanks to all of you who have been inspired to donate to charity--or in many cases, to donate more than you usually would have. Rose started this whole thing with her ridiculousness and greed. I get mad about stuff like that, so I want to thank all of you for helping me turn it into something helpful to others. ^_^

ETA Tristan proposes a compromise. While I still don't hold with the idea of begging being any kind of dignified, anything that will get $2500 to charity is a good thing. Making a difference is a good thing. OTOH, it also makes one wonder: If they don't have the money to go to Ireland and have to go a-begging for it, then where is the money for charity going to come from? Or will it be like a slow trickle ... like over ten years or so? And in the meantime, they'll just light some candles and hope that other people's problems will go away?

Huh, and Rose is still deleting my comments, which actually had very little to do with her. Hmm.

And we CARE what you think or do? Hardly. You're so good and special as you DONATE, look at YOU, and someone else can't ask her friends for help. Whatever. You're the stupid person. Why does someone else bother you so much-are you that jealous and lonely? Obviously you are.

Which begs the question: if you don't care what I think, why did you reply? ^_^

"OMGz U R MEEN and STUPID!!!111" Ahhh, I expect no less from one of Rose's toadies.

Absolutely, Tilly. I just had my comment on Rose's journal about her greediness and grasping, how stupid she is for shamelessly begging people for money and in return offering nothing but a lit candle and some healing ritual.

I'm checking out charities, and I'll link them in a post in my LiveJournal once I get them picked. I will probably mostly focus on religious charities, any Catholic/Christian ones I can pick out. It may not be protecting wildlife or saving the rainforest, but the missionaries who travel to other countries have a great mission to evangelize, and monies also go to helping people get a foothold to make their own money, despite living in very poor communities and conditions. I might also try and link some health-related charities; the American Cancer Society would be a big one, as I had an aunt who died of breast cancer at the beginning of my first year of high school. She was a wonderful woman, and I would love to support the ACS in her memory.

Again, this was a very inspired idea, Tilly. Best of luck to you in supporting your favorite charities

Thank you so much for your support. I'm not surprised that Rose deleted your comments.

Not really with you on the missionaries--IMO they've done nothing but ruin cultures, and people should be left alone to their own cultures and not have religion forced down their throats--but way to go on the cancer society. I lost an aunt to breast cancer as well.

Some have ruined others's cultures, I agree, but others have grown in their faith and express it without losing their culture as far as music, clothing, and other things that identify themselves as a people. I think it's all in the way the faith is taught and who is teaching it. You may disagree with me on that, and that's okay. We'll agree to disagree with respect. :)

I also want to add to the American Cancer Society by putting in the American Red Cross as well. I've actually even donated blood to them whenever my college campus has had blood drives. I haven't donated again yet, though I had several opportunities over the summer. They came and went because usually I had other obligations, like family stuff and work. I think tomorrow I'll do some more charity nagivation and see what I come up with, then I'll post the meme in my journal. *thumbs up*

P.S. I wasn't surprised as well that she deleted my comment, because the ones that are there are from people who donated, want to/will donate, or those who can't but they're offering hope and prayers for her and Tristan.

It shouldn't be too hard for you to win the battle against Rose's hubby.

Absolutely. I mourn the loss of the old gods in these cultures, as they were more a part of said cultures than the dance etc. But we disagree, and there's no need to be going in circles.

Excellent. There's nothing better than when something good comes of something bad. Err, I guess except for when something good comes of something already good. ;)

Well, he just keeps repeating the same stuff and not really saying much of anything. It's odd, because he seemed very level at first, but now I see that he's just lost and mixed up, whereas I think that Rose knows what she's up to.
