Bush is getting his last few shots in, and they're knockouts

Two things on the political front tonight:

Bush Administration Trying To Redefine Contraception As Abortion.

Did you catch that?

The New York Times reports that the Bush Administration's Department of Health and Human Services is drafting a rule that would place new restrictions on domestic family planning programs. While current law allows health care providers and professionals to refuse to provide abortions based on their religious beliefs, this provision would threaten the funding of organizations and health facilities if they do not hire people who would refuse to provide birth control and defines abortion so broadly that it would include many types of birth control, including oral contraception.

They are going to HAVE TO hire people who can refuse a woman her birth control pills.

This can't be made any clearer, and why is most or America still shrugging this off? They are going to HAVE TO hire people who can refuse a woman her birth control pills.

I mean, do you see where we're headed with no brakes? I can't be the only one who is freaking out, can I?

Also:

President Bush has asserted executive privilege to prevent Attorney General Michael Mukasey from having to comply with a House panel subpoena for material on the leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity.

WHAT IF OBAMA DOESN'T WIN?

You know, it's time for Congress to grow a pair. They have the power of "inherent contempt" - they should order the Sergeant-At-Arms of the House to arrest Mukasey and hold him in jail (they do have a jail underneath the Capitol Building) until such time as he cooperates with the panel.

And when Republicans pitch a fit, they should respond "Hey, we gave you a chance to play ball. You chose not to, so we're going to do it ourselves."

I mean, this is the most unpopular President in the history of the country, and we're still treating him with kid gloves. Time to start punching back instead of rolling over and playing dead.

WHAT IF OBAMA DOESN'T WIN?

Race you to Canada then.

I know it! There is something else at play here!

The thing is--and I wasn't the biggest Bill Clinton fan either--but he was impeached over sex.

Bush, meanwhile, has single-handedly destroyed the economy, put us into fiscally the most expensive war in american history, illegally invaded a country against the wishes of the UN, blocked investigations into his reign, practically abolished the fifth amendment, made it so that he can spy on citizens without warrant, the list goes on and on and I could do this for pages!

And no one has officially said a word!

Someone give this man a blowjob already!

Dude, isn't that the fucking truth? I haven't read the articles yet (kinda don't want to cuz I'll likely break something), but fuck do Americans have their priorities wrong. They absolutely flip their shit over anything with sexual overtones (remember Nipplegate?) but this really scary, worrying crap is going on and it's like whatever.

ARGH!

Yeah, exactly! That's because if you're thinking about a nip, you're less likely to be skeered that the TURRISTS are gonna blow your ass up!
