I don't mind using characters that actors play, because I have a strong seperation between the character and the actor. The only time I kind of stutter on that is when I have to describe them physically sometimes, because in essence, you're describing a real person. However, I describe real people all the time, and I'm sure people do that with me, too. "Tall girl, awkward features, just missed being pretty? Yeah, that one." ;D So in a fic, it's pretty easy for me to get over it.

The point isn't necessarily how horribly these real people are being portrayed, but that they're being portrayed at all, especially in such gruesome detail >_>
