You're right; I think that Eames came from the two of them, and oddly he seems like one of the characters most worked-on. I think that's why I like them.
I agree with you actually, about the "leave you behind" thing, because like I said, he didn't actually leave them when he could have. He stays until the very end and he does put his ass on the line to make sure everyone is okay. BUT. He didn't threaten Arthur the same way. Just a quiet "Make sure, okay?" Maybe he has more trust in Arthur's skill? Hmm. It's' fun to think about. ^_^
