The World I Know, and a party tomorrow!
This video obsessed me when it came out, and I swore that the actor in it, with his beautiful, expressive face, was sure to go on to do huge movies and stuff. I have always wondered who he was.
Anyway, some friends and I were sharing links to nineties music, stuff that was our favorite and whatnot, and I linked to this. I'm so glad I found it. This video still makes me cry like a little bitch. When the hungry little doggie follows the girl, when the sad lady is not able to get onto the bus, and mostly when the guy throws down his newspaper and starts climbing. Yeah, I still get teary like a little emo.
The thing about the guy's character is that it's not his own pain that makes him sad, but other people's. That's what keeps him from sucking; that and the beautiful performance by the actor.
So tomorrow is Kung Fu Party Picture Day, and I spent all of today making a terrific peach pie! It came out so nice; I can't wait to let everyone else try it. I used ghee instead of butter or margarine, stevia, nutmeg and cardamom to sweeten, and the whole thing has maybe a tablespoon of cane and brown sugar to it. YUM.
