Turns out there was actually an eclipse of Venus on that day - see today's Astronomy Picture of the Day.


On a completely unrelated note, I've recently re-read (again) Seer of Kakariko, and one part caught my eye. In chapter 8, during the Sheik!Raptor part:
...He would not actually realize this until he took his last breath before he left his body for the last time, at which time he would look into the tired, tearful face of the violet eyed queen of Hyrule and tell her, "if only I had known." It would be his only dying regret. The queen would spend her remaining months fretting over what he had meant, before understanding it herself and then joining him.

I'm curious - what is it that he realised?
