Yes, I am a genius!

So there I was, in the shower, thinking about my stupid novel. How I missed it. How having it back would really ge tme motivated to write it. Started thinking about that last picture of Pendragon. Started thinking about how much money that I don't have it was going to cost to get the hard drive back, and then when I got it, it would be in pieces, maybe missing some stuff, maybe stuff wouldn't even be labeled. Maybe I'd get all stuff I didn't need and none of the stuff I did.

I thought of those naked screencaps I had of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and how the Geek Squad would giggle if they found them.

Then when I got out of the shower, out of desperation I stuck the hard drive into the fridge, like some web sites had said. A long shot, but after all, what could it hurt? No data is totall unretrievable, and a little cold wasn't going to erase anything or cost me any more money to retrieve. Then I shut my computer down and opened the side. Sehing Chris had explained once to me howto "slave" a hard drive, to hook it up without having to unhook the other hard drive so that I wouldn't have to re-install any of my drivers or whatever. He said that if it ever read again, it would just read as an E drive or something.

I hooked it up and hit it a bunch of times with a screwdriver. I kid you not. I turned on the computer and this blue screen came up sayign something was wrong with a disk and it had to run some checks or something. The first one failed. I hit it with a screwdriver a few more times, and then my comp started up, READING AN EXTRA DRIVE. I clicked on that biddy, and there was my old hard drive in all its glory.

Copying important stuff now.

But did you get what I said? I chilled the hard drive and hit it with a screwdriver.

YAYYYY! *gleeful dance*

Geek Squad could learn a thing or two from you.

Funny thing is, now that it reads, once you finish copying your stuff, you might be still able to use it as a slave drive from now till the next power frying. XD

If only hitting things with screwdrivers always worked. *sigh*

I actually thought about going down there and telling them that if they want to save people money, the refridgerator thing really works. Or maybe the screwdriver, but either way. :)

I was thinking of that, too. And I hope it does, because I actually forgot to copy a few things. O_o

I know. *Hits knee with screwdriver* ;)

It does work for a great many things though.

Especially if it's a heavy screwdriver...

I'm impressed. Usually you get the same results as if you'd hit a person with a screwdriver and stuffed them in the fridge.

Which also isn't too bad of an idea, actually.
