Still haven't managed to get in touch with Jeremy's Mom. I guess she's got some days off in a row. I'll keep trying.

In other news, my little bird Trinity died during the night. The ground is frozen, so I have to put her in the freezer at work, which doesn't seem right, but it beats throwing her away. And now I've got Leonard. I guess I'm destined to have five birds. Weird though, right?

And I'm sitting here waiting for Kim to come and pick me up, before going on to Tricia's house to pick her up. And then it's back to Kim's house for our holiday dinner party, the last one we will probably ever have together. (There's going to be lots of drinking going on, so Kim's very sweet and considerate husband Rick is going to drop us off back home tonight.) I've got my gifts for them all wrapped, and my dinner supplies all packed, three bottles of liquer, some semi-sweet chocolate, mixed CDs for both of my best friends, and my camera.

I've got an inkling of what Kim is giving me for Christmas, based only on one very small question she asked me last Spring. I could be wrong. But if I'm right, then she out-did herself, and there's nothing I could give her that would equal her gift to me, in heart or in worth.

And Friday is Tricia's last day at work.

Why do people have to leave? It completely sucks, doesn't it?
