We had forms in Kung Fu today, which was good, because Tristan corrected a few of the things I was doing wrong, and also he tends to show people the application of whatever moves they're doing in forms. This totally helps me remember it better, once I know why I'm doing it and what it means.

As we were doing our warmup, Erica came in and hung up two more signs in teh room. (We've got all of these signs and philosophical sayings here and there.) Anyway, the second one was about having a personal sense of shame, which I commented that I already had, and in spades, which was why I never stood in front of the mirror while practicing Kung Fu if I could help it. Underneath where it said "personal sense of shame" was an explanation, clarifying that one needed to feel a sense of guilt after having done something bad. Except that there was a typo. So when Iris (one of the younger orange belts, around 13 or so, and Nicolette's friend,) came up to it and read, quite innocently, that one needed to feel a sense of personal quilt after having done something bad, then it was all over. The rest of the class was all about having a sense of quilt, and which was better, having a sense of personal quilt, or having a sense of personal comforter. It was too funny to pass up, and when Tristan told me that I was doing the bow stance all crazy kinds of wrong, I told him to stop saying it because he was making me feel too much quilt.

Because I'm like a pit bull with the funny. I just can't let it go.

Anyway, so I've got "Hitchiker's Guide" to watch tonight, and a pint of Ben and Jerry's. I am allowed my pint of ice cream, because we did forms today, and because earlier in Hula we did "O Keahi A Lonomakua" for about 45 minutes. And I think later, if I have time, I might bust out good old "Hahani Mai" and see if I can't relearn that one, because it was one of my favorites until I forgot it one night, and then never did it again after that.

But now, for some reason, I feel like i need to know Hahani Mai.
