I'm at work, and the day can't go fast enough> It put on the air brakes. Next time i read my LJ or post here, I will be at home, and the weekend will have begun. ^_^

Ahhh, vacation.

There's this way of doing a kind of "snapshot" or whatever of what's on your computer screen at the moment, but I can't rememebr which keys do this. Can anyone remind me, please? I'm having a problem on another LJ interest group (NA) with this really aggressive person (the usual kind of bully, only with veiled threats like "You'll get what you deserve" and whatnot. It ends up that he knows one of my very dear friends and is doing the other classic bully thing: "I'm going to tell the popular kids about you and then they'll hate you!" But I have the feeling that if he does go tattling that I disagreed with him, he will also delete the entire post, and I'd like to back it up just in case he gets any wackier.)

Anyway, thank god I'm finally home and the weekend has begun! Today at work wasn't too hectic--in fact I found myself being pretty much bored during a lot of the day. It was the annoying kind of day where, you're either doing nothing, or thirty things are going on at once. And, man, was I sniping at people, even my boss. I got into his face at the end of the day and was just breathing fire. And you know what? It wasn't even his fault. Afterwards I told him, "I'm sorry I yelled at you." We've clashed in the past before, but this was the first time I felt unjustified. I don't know what happened--I think I was carrying around some of the anger I had at this nasty person on the other LJ and I just sort of took it out on the wrong person.

Lately we've had some gruesome things going on at work, too, lots of animals dying in weird or violent ways. One case, which I can't go into, involved a guy killing his own dog. Killing his own dog! I can hardly bear to even write the words. What with things like evidence and other stuff that's needed, it's been pretty macabre work lately. One gets used to the blood and guts aspects of the job, but I can never get past the cruelty and neglect we sometimes see there.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to Kung Fu instead of Hula. This is the first time I've ever blown off Hula for something that wasn't mandatory. Those of you who have been following my f-locked posts lately can probably guess why. I'll put it bluntly here, because I think it was pretty obvious in rehearsal last week, anyway: if I have to hear, learn, or dance anymore schmalzy, schlocky, cheesyass "Keep Your Eyes On The Hands" nonsense I'm going to throw myself out the window. I'm not paying to rent the studio for that kind of stuff. Last week we ended up doing--gods help me--Rockahula. And it wasn't even a Hula, for godsakes, it was all flailing arms and shimmying and moves that aren't even Hula moves. And, no, of course it was not choreographed by any Kumu Hula nor even any Hula teacher. Just by ... well, we don't need to get into it. But I'm not paying my month's rent at the studio for that kind of thing. I'm renting the space to dance Hula. This was not Hula.

So, it's Kung Fu, and how's this for hilarious? Since I'm going out shopping with my Dad afterwards (we both need to pick some things up from a computer store out West,) he's going to go with me to the Kung Fu studio and wait in the waiting room. Watching. Now I'll be really embarrassed that I can't do pushups! ;) He says to me, "It'll be great, do you want me to take pictuers?" God, NO! ^_^ Heehee. Dads never change, do they?

Anyway, after that, I guess I'd better actually start getting ready. I've been putting it off for just about ever. I'm such a procrastinator.

Either way, I get to sleep a little later tomorrow morning, and that is always to the good, isn't it?

I should be so happy and excited about my trip, and I am, I should just really shake off this nonsense with the internet bully guy. The friend that I know is a friend from Florida, and I've been looking forward to seeing him for months, since the last time I saw him. Now all I can think about is this crazy guy and his "I'm going to talk smack about you to your friends!" as if we're in high school again. It's somehow made worse by the fact that he's pretending that he's doing me some sort of favor. "Don't worry, we'll sort this out, I just have to make you agree with me everything right!" Yes, dragging mutual friends into it always helps "sort things out." God, some people.

Either way. One thing I've been thinking about for over a year is getting on Dueling Dragons again. It's just about the best thrill ride I've ever been on. Though I still have a soft spot for Space Mountain, the rickety old thing. Space Mountain is actually one of the only rides that still scares me. Everyone thinks it's such a baby ride, but for someone tall like me, it's kind of scary. There's hardly anything to hold on to, the safety bar only goes to my lap, and the sides of the cars are only up to my hips. Everytime it takes a sharp turn I feel like I'm going to pitch right over the side. Man, I love that ride. But I remember last year, riding Dueling Dragons for the 4th time in a row, I was sitting there waiting for it to take off. They drop the bottom of the floor out right before you go and then take you way the hell up this huge incline. Right before it started I said to my cousin, "WHY THE HELL AM I ON THIS RIDE?!" It was awesome.

Also awesome was The Hulk. It wasn't my first inversion coaster, but it was the fastest and roughest inversion coaster. Yes, rougher than Rockin Rollercoaster, which I also love. The Hulk was so harsh the first time, my hands were numb when I got off of it. I was shaking so hard that I thought my limbs were going to fly apart, and I could barely manage to speak because my teeth were chattering. As we were walking off, I said to my cousin, "D-d-d-do you w-w-w-want to g-g-g-go again?!"

DANG! I loves me some thrill rides.
