This is a bit strange. Tonight I got a message in the personals from someone trying to place a three year old "rattwiler" that needs a home. In the personals, you see, as in, where people go to meet boys or girls for dating and other such things. (Not that I am looking, even. I dont' know why I haven't taken the damned profiles down.) The letter was like, "I see you're an animal lover, maybe you can help get rid of this dog." Gosh, can you imagine? >_>

Anyway, so today I asked my Mom to watch the dogs while I did my shopping, which I hadn't done in over a week. While I was out, I went to Target and Michael's for stuff to work on my costume, and I found some cool Halloween stuff, too. Then I got home, took the dogs, and Mom went to pick up Meghan. We had dinner, played with the dogs, and everyone watched Kung Fu Hustle and loved it. My Dad found it completely hilarious. Meghan and I also went outside with the telescope to try to get a view of what I think was Jupiter on the horizon (at first I thought Mars--could have been, but something told me it was Jupiter.) We never managed to get a perfect shot of it, but Meghan did see a whole hell of a bunch of shooting stars. They were all by Draco, so I thought it was the Draconids, but those don't start until next week. Maybe they're getting an early start.

Chrissie's got her entire yard Halloween'ed up, and I haven't even started yet. What the hell is that about? I'm going to do some tomorrow with Meghan, but it's going to be a trick with the puppy in the yard, either scampering off under the cedar tree (where he's not supposed to be) or trying to eat the lights. O_o

Also, today was the Kung Fu tournament, and I had to give it a miss, which was really disappointing. Nicolette dropped me a line to let me know how it went. She won a silver in her division, as did a lot of the kids from our school. Seems to have gone well. Next year, I hope to go.

And a week from tonight, I will be dead tired in a hotel room after the Makaha Sons show, and getting ready for bed, after which I will get up at around 7 AM the next morning for my second Hula class of the weekend. God, that came fast! Next weekend I will be with all my Hula brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles! I can't wait to see Moon again, and Auntie Kau'i, Kawehi and Kamai. ^_^ It's going to be so wonderful to be with them again. I will probably be stressing about leaving these ten thousand animals, but then, maybe I'll be too busy to be stressing. We'll see.
